   Hannah Harrington is a superb Author Saving June had me from the beginning until the very end.Saving June is the story of Harper Scott Who is trying to deal with the death of her older sister.Jake knew June and Harper has no idea how they knew each other.June always wanted to go to California so Harper,Jake and her friend Laney take her ashes on a road trip.Along the way they all do a bit of growing up and soul searching.
   I was pretty much blown away by Hannah's writing.This is my first book by her and W-O-W it did NOT disappoint.I was going through a small reading funk and Saving June pulled me out of it.I loved Jake and Harper.Kudo's on picking Harper's name for the main character as you do not hear it to often.Jake I imagined a young Adam Levine.This entire book is a winner.Read it.Love it.

   Fade(The Ragnarok Prophesies) is the story about Arionna Jacobs and Dace Matthews.It has everything.Romance, Supernatural, Prophesy and so much more.FADE is an amazing and fast paced read.Arionna meets Dace at College in her town after her mothers death.They have an instant connection.Only Arionna finds out Dace is so much more then she though..But then so is she,so is the town.I rarely give out spoilers so thats all your going to get in a short synapses.
   I believe Fade(The Ragnarok Prophesies) is the first book by this author and what an amazing start to the series.Dace..yum.Series sometimes are hard for me if the author doesn't get me interested.Luckily im so interested Im over here holding a sign with the words..Will blog for book two. This book had everything I needed to draw me in.The romance was on point.It was enough and not over the top like in some shifter books.I really enjoyed the action of the book as well..parts were so action packed I almost couldn't turn the page fast enough.I can only hope the second in the series will be out soon to put me out of my misery.

Wow.Im Stunned and in utter Awe of Revel By Maurissa Guibord.This is the first book I have read by this Author and I am quite frankly Blown Away.Revel takes place on Trespass Island where people live but never leave.Delia's mother is from there and finds a way to get to the island since no one is allowed to go there.Once she gets there she is greated with hostility.She has no idea what is in store for her.Sean is one of the male characters you will meet and Jax,Jax is a Demigod.They go back for centuries and rule the undersea.Jax is full of awesome.Delia realizes something isn't quite right about her and you will figure that out once you read the book.
   This book is seriously stunning.I was swept away in the romance,the history,the drama,Like a huge tidal wave.The way Maurissa writes is astoundingly real and makes you feel like you are right in the center of the ocean.I think my only issue with the story is that the ending was a bit fast for me and I would have liked an epilogue.But it certainly did not need one I just enjoy knowing what happens after the ending.This is a must read!Great Job Maurissa Guibord!It was a pleasure reading this and I cannot wait to read more of your work!

   Whew what a Rollercoaster of emotions.Cambria has written yet another WINNER!I feel sorry for the main Character Dex.Love or Death is the Premise for Recalled.If you were faced with that decision..what would you choose?Cambria Hebert Weaves a master of a story around that question..Love or Death.Is love worth it?Or is death worth living?Dex dies and becomes a taker.Which means he takes lives for the Grim Reaper.The problem is with the life of the first person he has to take which is Piper..who He saved when he was still alive.Can he do it?No Spoilers from blogger.
    From the moment I picked Recalled up until I put it down I was enthralled.I only had one bone to pick and that was the books location.Im not sure why I didnt like recalled's location but it didnt connect with me.I kept picturing New York rather then Fairbanks.I dont know why but I did.It didnt hurt the story at all though just a personal preference so to speak.This story is going to take your emotions on a ride.Sigh.I wish I could write something about the ending of Recalled but that would be a major spoiler.Read it for Yourself.Enjoy it!!!

Excerpt From The Year I Almost Drowned

Chapter 1

The sound of a police siren blared from behind me. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw flashes of blue and red whirling in a circular motion. My heart thumped wildly, and my sweaty hands gripped tightly onto the steering wheel. I'd never been pulled over by the police. Not once. Not ever. I glanced in the rear view mirror again and saw that it was Cookie, one of Graceville's oldest police officers, shuffling my way.

Everyone called him “Cookie” because he sputtered things out that sounded like they had been stolen from a Chinese fortune cookie. Cookie was a Graceville institution of sorts and probably should have retired years ago, but since Graceville's crime rate was dismal, he was able to keep his job on the force. He and my grandfather had met in elementary school and had been friends ever since. They played bingo together, and Cookie was a regular in the diner. I liked Cookie even if he did say strange, philosophical things that didn't seem relevant to the discussion. He was a kind, trusting man and probably should have chosen another line of work.

I felt a sense of relief seeing that it was him coming my way. I knew if he was pulling me over, once he saw it was me, he'd give me a warning for whatever it was that I did and tell me to go on about my business.

The relief was short lived. I peered into the rear view mirror one more time and saw another police officer approaching my car. This one was well-built, tall, and much, much younger than Cookie. I didn't recognize him. My heart started to beat a mile a minute.

Cookie peered down in my window and motioned for me to roll it down. “Hi, Finn,” he said. He spoke slowly and enunciated every single syllable with a long southern drawl. A toothpick hung out of the corner of his mouth. Cookie was very thin and appeared older than he really was. Lines and creases inundated his face, his skin loose and sagging. His white mustache covered his thin upper lip. There was very little hair left on his small oval shaped head. “Confucius once said 'Be slow in your words and earnest in your conduct,' Finn.”

Whatever that meant, I'm not sure. I had to keep myself from rolling my eyes at him. The other police officer lowered his head to the window, his caramel-colored eyes met mine. A subtle five o'clock shadow showed on his youthful face. He was a little older than I thought, maybe in his mid twenties. Golden streaks blended in his short light brown hair. “License and registration, please,” he said in an authoritative tone.

Excerpt From The Summer I Learned to Dive   Chapter 2

The cab smelled like onions and stale cigarettes. It was putrid, over powering. I tried breathing out of my mouth to take the strain off my nose, but the smell was too strong. It permeated the air. The driver looked at me suspiciously from the moment he picked me up. I could tell he questioned the motives of a teenage girl hailing a cab at midnight on an isolated street. I'm certain he thought I was a runaway. Why wouldn't he? It did look suspicious: I was carrying a suitcase hailing a cab in the middle of the night headed to a bus station.

We drove the entire way to the bus station in silence. He kept looking at me through the rear view mirror. His glances made me shudder, making me doubt the decision I had made. I tried to smile at him, but it didn't stop him from looking at me distrustfully.

The outside of the bus station felt dark and isolated. I instantly felt fear and regret for being there. I was scared and felt alone, questioning if I had just made the biggest mistake of my life. I thought about asking him to take me back home but stopped myself. I needed to do this, to meet the grandparents that had been stolen from me. He stopped the car and looked at me through his rear view mirror again, this time indicating with his dark eyes that we were there.

"Fourteen dollars," he said.

I handed him the cash and started to open the door. "I have a daughter," he said, still looking at me through the rear view mirror. I questioned him with my eyes, wondering what he meant by that statement.

"I would not want her to run away," he said, turning his head back toward me.

I shook my head instantly. "I'm not running away. I'm going to meet my grandparents," I said.

He looked at me skeptically. "It's late to be meeting them," he said.

"The ticket was less expensive at this time," I said quickly and closed the door. Getting into a deep conversation about my reasons for late night travel was not on my priority list. He said something else, but I ignored him and kept walking.

COCA - COLA CHOCOLATE CAKE

2 c. unsifted cake flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. Coca-Cola
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Sift together the flour and sugar. Heat to boiling point the butter, cocoa and Coca-Cola. Add to the flour and sugar mixture. Stir to blend. Add buttermilk, soda, eggs, salt and vanilla. Stir with a spoon until well blended. Pour into a greased and floured oblong pan (Pyrex dish). Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Batter will be thin. Ice while hot.

COCA-COLA ICING:

1/2 c. butter
6 tbsp. Coca-Cola
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. cocoa

Heat to boiling point the butter, cocoa and Cola-Cola. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla; stir to blend. Using a fork, make holes in the hot cake and pour the hot icing over it.

   This is one of those books where your like..great Mean Girls.But wait..there is a catch..A Retired mean girl who has remorse after seeing her one of her friends bullied.She stops the head Bee and with that she is cast out of the group.The entire school goes against Kitty and pummels her down.Reed is one of the very few people who helps Kitty and see's her for her real self.
    This is such a wonderful short read.I loved the characters..I had a great respect for Kitty because lets face it..its not easy going from mean girl to nice girl.I loved that DeAnna brought some of the characters from the Charity Moon series...it was nice seeing familiar faces.My favorite thing about this book is the fact that the character makes such a big turnabout.Sometimes you read the back of a book and are like..I can't like that character.No siree.But then you get sucked into the book and realize Kitty's transformation and the punishment she takes from her peers.Definitely worth reading once,twice and three times!

Having Fallen in L-O-V-E with The Breakaway I was Thrilled to be given the chance to Review Pieces,The Sequel to The Runaway. Michelle Davidson Argyle has a way with words They flow like Buttah.I literally had to pull myself away from the book so I could get some sleep.Naomi is suffering from what is called Stockholm syndrome. She meets Finn and is attracted to him but Jesse who is in jail is still on her mind.What will happen?Who will she choose? Since I don't like many spoilers in my reviews I will leave that at that.Naomi has to deal with her issues throughout this book which she manages to do.I really really liked the ending.Michelle Davidson Argyle Will probrably wack me over the head with a broomstick for saying this but Id love to read a 3rd novel about Naomi..See I can't say with Whom without ruining the book for others.But if you have read it You know who :) If you have not read The Breakaway..what are you waiting for?Read it ENJOY IT!Then when you done with that Move on to Pieces.I promise you WILL NOT be disappointed.By The Way The Breakaway made it on my Blogs Top books of 2012!!!

I love The Summer I Learned to Dive...The Summer I Almost Drowned is the continuation of this series...and it was simply amazing.Finn has been spending more time with her Grandparents and Loving life with her Boyfriend Jessie..Who is pretty amazing. As with most reviews I try not to post spoilers.This book has sad moments..there were several.It has happy moments and it has super duper sigh happy moments.I love the way Shannon McCrimmon writes..the way she writes..it flows so well..its easy to read and your able to get lost in the book.I love getting lost in a book..don't you?I love the decision Finn makes at the end.I think it is perfect for her.I hope and will beg Shannon if I have to for More..at least one more to finish it up..pretty please?I also am going to have to beg for more books from Shannon.I love her work and I look forward to reading more!If you are wanting a great series..Read The Summer I Learned to Dive and Then The Summer I Almost Drowned.I was given a copy of The Summer I Almost Drowned for an honest review.

     Rae is a girl trapped in pretty horrible circumstances.She lives with her mother and stepfather,Her stepfather is abusive,degrading and just an all around unpleasant man.Her mother loves him and cannot see past him to see Rae.Rae Meets Nathan and at first he is wonderful..but things start to change with Nathan..His jealousy is too much to soon..almost suffocating.She is unable to be around him due to his jealousy and just plain weird things going on with him.Rae works at a flower shop after school and knows Leo who has been her friend for awhile..Eventually they become more then friends.Sadly Something horrific happens where Rae has to be stronger and fight harder then she has ever fought before.
     Well Geez,Falling For You pulled me out of my reading slump,Twice I started books I couldnt finish.Then I opened Falling For You and BAM I could not put it down.It was wonderful.I was so mad at Rae's step father and mother..if I could have jumped in the story I would have!Nathan..I didnt understand him as much..I mean I know part of his deal but I think for him playing such a big part something was needed..even if it was Rae's friend giving that info.But that did not in anyway affect the story and it is just something I think could have made the story even better.I absolutely loved how while the book went in 3 different part...there was a present day..past and then poetry as a chapter it was so very easy to follow and not be confused.It flowed so very well.I did wish there was an epilogue..but its not really needed...just a personal preference. This was the perfect book to start 2013 with!I'd definitely take the time to read this story.If not you will definitely be missing out!

  Ive said it before and I'll say it again.Lila Felix has talent!Reading her books is so enjoyable..they flow so smoothly.I love Nellie..I love her many many hair colors and that she is tough enough to play Roller Derby and yet sweet enough to still be super feminine Owen..Well Owen like all of Lila's male characters is just AHMAZING.Im repeating myself with another review I've written about Lila's book but I'll go ahead and say it.I love that Lilas characters find each other somewhat early in the book.I adore watching their relationship develop.I have yet to read a book by Lila that I don't enjoy and I've read everything she's published.Keep on writing Lila.You have written yet another winner and I look forward to your next story.

Review 4 stars-Possible Spoilers..so reader beware

   When you first start this story your in Fallons nightmare/dream.Then Her and her mother have to leave the area and get into the car and go.This is the norm for Fallon always on the move so her mom can get a job and Fallon will be put into school.On the way though bad things happen and Fallon finds out that Isaiah is the only one that can help her.He protects her as best he can.Isaiah was made to protect Fallon..as  Fallon was made to protect Isaiah.
   I enjoyed this book..I did feel at times it was a bit to fast and I wish it had slowed down just a tad.It was like go go go and I wanted it to slow down a small bit so I could better connect with the Fallon and Isaiah better.I also wish there was a tiny bit more romance since they are soulmates.I loved how Airicka wrote out the pain that Fallon felt at her mothers death..that was very emotional.I am eager to see what book 2 holds since there was quite a bit left unknown.I have to say this story does NOT disappoint in action and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

   I was gifted a Copy of None of The Regular Rules by Erin Downing for a honest review. This story is about Sophie finding a list left by her Aunt Suzy who died after falling from a water tower.Sophie decides to complete the items on the list in honor of her Aunt.Her friends Grace and Ella help her and her Neighbor Johnny Rush comes in pretty handy with a certain ultra cool ride on lawn mower.This story is about finding out who You are,not losing yourself in the process,finding love and last but not least the power of friendship.
   Wow.Wow.Wow.Yes 3 Wows.None of The Regular Rules is that good.I literally would have pulled an all nighter on this had it not been for my minions needing to be at school in the morning. As I've mentioned before..A good book in my eyes is one that entrenches you in it..makes the world go away..all of which happened for me.If I could have had one thing change in the book it would have been a teeny bit more romance..BUT let me say that the book has it and does it well..Im just a sucker for the ooey gooeyness of it.I loved the ending and honestly the last paragraph was wonderfully written.I also have to say that I love that Sophie just chopped her hair off..let her friends cut it and send it to Locks of Love.That was epic as its honestly the first time I have seen it in a young adult novel.Honestly If you haven't read None of The Regular Rules..what are you waiting for?This is a MUST read.Walk,Run to your computer and get it.You will not be disappointed.

   Touched is a story about Remy..Remy has the special ability to heal..But her healing comes with a price.After something horrific happens to her she goes to live with her father where She meets Asher..she learns that perhaps she isnt the only different person in town.
   I Loved touched.It was such an enjoyable read..definitely a page turner!Remy was quite the character I instantly fell in love with her.Who doesn't love when someone cares more about others then themselves?Im so happy that she was able to live with her dad and his family and found out what it is like to be in a real loving family.Asher...Well Asher was just awesome.Im not going to lie..he reminded me a tiny bit of Edward Cullen in some of his actions and some things he said..but not enough to actually be like a copy Edward Cullen so that was good..Plus Asher just kind of has this Im sexy and I know it song running off of him.(Im joking..okay maybe im not.) I believe this is a first for me with healers and protectors and Im hooked.Im hoping there will be a second book to the series as I feel the story was left to continue on and im eager to see what happens when Remy goes looking for her Grandfather.I would definitely suggest this book if you like supernatural romance and a great story line that you just want to hop in too.
