Sophomore year, Nicolette Antonovich was dumped two days before prom by
the hottest guy at school. As a result, she became the proud owner of
one unworn, perfectly magical pink vintage dress. But Nic is determined
to put that night behind her for good. She's a junior now— older, wiser,
and completely overwhelmed by a new set of problems: (1) The bank's
ready to foreclose on her childhood home. (2) Her father's too busy with
his "replacement" daughter to care. (3) Her best friend's brother is an
eternal thorn in her side. (4) Her best friend isn't exactly the rose
attached to that thorn. (5) Rumors are flying around school that could
get her kicked off the volleyball team, which would (6) ruin all chances
of a college scholarship. (7) She still likes the boy who dumped her in
the first place. (8) And what in the world do you do with an unworn
prom dress, anyway? Strangely, it's getting to the bottom of this last
dilemma that just might hold the answer to all Nic's problems.

REVIEW
5 stars
I was given a Copy of Top Ten Uses for an Unworn Prom Dress for a Honest Review
Nicolette is dumped...2 days prior to prom.Who does that..Well Rascal Pasqual apparently. All Nicolette can think of is THAT dress. She even has a list of what can be done with it.While you might be thinking is this just about a silly girl not getting to wear her prom dress its so much more then that.Nicolette has quite a bit on her plate..Her moms job is struggling,Rumors are flying around,Her friend is acting weird and whats even weirder..two guys are coming to blows..over her.
I thought this was a super cute read.I couldnt go to bed until I had finished it.I loved that Nicolette wanted to help her mom so much and felt so bad when things failed to go right for her.But you have to give her credit for trying.I really really liked Jared..He was an uber cutie pie and perfect for Nicolette. This was an amazingly great read..Ultra Clean as well so no worries if the younger crowd reads it either. In fact I think it would be a great for a younger teen to read as well as the older teen and even adult.Check it out and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

(CONTAINS SPOILERS - DO
NOT READ BEFORE READING HERE):
When Milo
Mitchell falls for the beautiful, tuxedo-clad guy she found
wandering her family's rural Colorado property, she never dreamed
he was a scout from another galaxy, or that their relationship
would leave him with an impossible choice: eradicating humankind,
or initiating the end of his own people.
Nick's job
is finding the elements his people need to power their elaborate
interweb of minds. Being a scout means he is capable of traveling
to other planets on his own. It also means that, unlike The Rest,
he has access to primitive feelings and individual desires. For
eons, he was part of the whole, but when he encountered Milo, his
obsession with her changed everything.
Nick's
partner, Vera, is capable of independent thought, but not
compelled by it. She is satisfied with her existence as one of
The Rest, and she won't agree that humans are worth sparing; not
when their planet has a precious cache of
the gold her people need so badly.
While Vera
tries to force Nick into endorsing an Earth invasion, working behind the scenes to tie his hands, and the
Department of Defense lays a trap for them with Milo's mom as
bait, Nick and Milo are waging their own war - against a primal
desire that can only lead to one thing: heartbreak.

The Starter Boyfriend By Tina Ferraro
17 year-old Courtney is completely stressed. There's the rift with her
softball teammates, homework, housework, her part-time job at the tux
shop, her dad’s upcoming wedding...enough! Would it be too much to ask
for someone special in her life, a boyfriend she could talk to, count
on, even lean on a little?
The best she’s got is a blue-eyed surfer boy who seems to save his biggest moves for his board, and a “friend date” to Homecoming with a guy still in love with his ex. Oh, and then there’s the tuxedo mannequin in the shop window, who happens to be reliable and an amazing listener.
When the mannequin gets stolen in a senior prank, Courtney finds herself in a midnight pursuit along beach boulevards, trying to save more than the mannequin, but the job she’s come to love. After turning to the unlikeliest of people for help, and finding that surfer boy is as resourceful as he is good-looking, her load begins to lighten. In fact, she soon might find not only what she needs, but what she wants, too.
---------------------
This is a cute read.Courtney has a job at a tux rental place that she loves and a certain Mannequin who is the strong and silent type.Courtney has alot going on..school,college,friends and her dad remarrying.I enjoyed the story.Although I feel at times it could have slowed down a bit and had a bit more romance.I loved the part when Courtney goes riding in the car with Tux and He is taken.Hilarious.All in all a cute read..If your looking for a good, lighthearted story then this is your story,Babycakes.Oh and the Cover is beautiful.

Miss Me Not-Tiffany King
They had a pact.
Leave the world behind much as they had lived it.
No one would miss them. No harm, no foul.
Their personal demons would be left behind once and for all.
It was the only thing they could count on.
It was all she had.
Madison Hanson has spent the last four years being a "shadow." Her parents ignore her. The students at her school stopped talking to her years ago, and the majority of her teachers forget she's even there. In her desperate yearning to leave her invisible life behind, Madison makes a pact with her only friend, James Garrison, to end their lives as inconspicuously as they live them. No fuss, no muss. No one would miss her and she would miss no one. Their plan is set, and it's all she can count on. That is, until fellow student, Mitch Peterson, beats them to the punch. Everything Madison believed in is shaken to the core when she watches the aftermath of Mitch's death unfold. By taking his own life, Mitch unwittingly saves hers. What a selfish prick.
She is now left with the daunting task of living. Trying to bury her demons once and for all, and finally trusting someone with her fragile existence.
Living is hell.
Death would have been so much easier.

Ever read a story that pulls at your heart?Miss Me Not by Tiffany King is one of those stories.Miss Me Not is the story of Madison and her death pact with her friend James...only someone beats them to the punch and everything that Madison believed she was going to do is suddenly changed.
Im not going to lie.Im a huge fan of Tiffany Kings so I've been anxiously awaiting this book. When I finally got Miss Me Not onto my Kindle I was doing a Happy Dance(please envision Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air).Miss Me Not is the story of Forgiving yourself,Loving yourself...Lets face it..its not always easy.Mistakes are made and those mistakes can mold you,However forgiving yourself is sometimes harder then anything.Madison's mother was a real piece of work.Tiffany King brought the characters to life so very well..I loved Madison's snarkieness,Deans unwillingness to take Madisons snarkiness and leave.Deans family was amazing.
Suicide is a hard topic to write about.Tiffany was able to write an excellent book dealing with it and surviving it when surviving is harder sometimes then living.Tiffany,I absolutely adored Miss Me Not and as always look forward to your next work. You make the hard to write subjects flow so effortlessly that it is simply a pleasure to read your books.Keep up the great work. Also Please If you are depressed or are having suicidal thoughts..talk to someone or call 1-800-784-2433 http://www.suicidehotlines.com/ .

Sacred By Elana K. Arnold
Growing up on Catalina Island, off the California coast, Scarlett
Wenderoth has led a fairly isolated life. After her brother dies, her
isolation deepens as she withdraws into herself, shutting out her
friends and boyfriend. Her parents, shattered by their own sorrow, fail
to notice Scarlett's pain and sudden alarming thinness. Scarlett finds
pleasure only on her horse, escaping to the heart of the island on
long, solitary rides. One day, as she races around a bend, Scarlett is
startled by a boy who raises his hand in warning and says one word:
"Stop."
The boy—intense, beautiful—is Will Cohen, a newcomer to the island. For reasons he can't or won't explain, he's drawn to Scarlett and feels compelled to keep her safe. To keep her from wasting away. His meddling irritates Scarlett, though she can't deny her attraction to him. As their relationship blossoms into love, Scarlett's body slowly awakens at Will's touch. But just when her grief begins to ebb, she makes a startling discovery about Will, a discovery he's been grappling with himself. A discovery that threatens to force them apart. And if it does, Scarlett fears she will unravel all over again.

Torn Souls-Crystal Cattabriga
This book is dedicated to all the children who have lost their lives
from being bullied and the one who will find the strength and courage to
continue on.....The unspeakable acts of bulling can destroy a life. So many children are affected in the world and together we can make a difference. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world...
Julia Stone’s life has been turned upside down ever since her parents decided to move out of the country and into the city. The life she knew was gone and starting over was something she wasn't prepared for. The thought of a new school, new teachers and even new friends was terrifying, but after a few weeks things didn't seem all that bad. Julia had met a boy and his name was Alex. He wasn't a jock, he wasn't even the
smartest kid in school, but he was nice and he made her laugh. Alex and Julia hung out all the time, eventually becoming best friends. They even made a pact never to keep secrets from each other, but for Julia it was harder than she thought. She had a secret that was destroying the very cord of her soul. Her life as a teenager was being ripped apart by the kids in her school. Julia was being bullied mentally and physically. The thought of going through the next three years in high school being bullied continuously wasn't something she was prepared to do. The choice was simple, and she wasn't about to do it alone.

Torn Souls is a book about bullying and a how Julia,Alex(her friend) and her parents take charge and make change.I Liked the summary of this book and I enjoyed the topic of it.Bullying is real and it does need to stop.I had a few issues with the book.I think it focused way to much in the beginning about Julia and her parents move.I believe the book could have worked without so many details of the move.I was almost 30% or more done with the book and the main character and her parents still had yet to move out of the house.I feel it dragged the book down to be honest.I could have done with 1 or 2 chapters at the most dealing with the move, the packing etc.Basically sometimes less is more.I feel like if all the extra things about the moving could have been taken out then the author could have focused more on the bullying which I feel was quite rushed. For a book on bullying you need to have the bullying stand out and I think I personally would have liked to see it stand out a bit more.I didnt feel the angst, the emotions of a girl being bullied. The summary built the book up so much plus the title built the book up so much that I kept waiting for something extraordinay to happen.I also would have liked to see more of a relationship start between Julia and Alex as well. I am a huge Anti Bullying advocate,I loved reading about Julia's stand against her bullying.I loved what happened with Julia's Bill as well.

Reaping Me Softly By Kate Evangelista
Ever since a near-death-experience on the operating table,
seventeen-year-old Arianne Wilson can see dead people. Just as she’s
learned to accept her new-found talents, she discovers that the boy
she’s had a crush on since freshman year, Niko Clarke, is a Reaper.
At last they have something in common, but that doesn’t mean life is getting any easier. All while facing merciless bullying from the most powerful girl in school, Arianne’s world is turned upside down after Niko accidentally reaps the soul of someone she loves. This sends them both into a spiral that threatens to end Arianne’s life. But will Niko break his own Reaper’s code to save her? And what would the consequences be if he did?
---------------
REVIEW-Spoilers
Reaping Me Softly is the first book I have read by Kate Evangelista.Reaping Me Softly is about Arianne, who see's spirits and Niko who is a reaper. They go to the same high school, where they deal with a bully,Arianne's sick sister and so much more.
I felt this story flowed really well,It definitely was a page turner.I did have a few issues with the book,I think Arianna honestly took Niko being something not human a bit to easily. She didnt question it..it was as if it was an everyday occurrence.I also was kind of thrown for a loop with the whole Darla thing..It was just kind of out there and unexpected..Im not sure how I feel about it.The bullying was a bit understated...im not sure how one person could rule a school like that. When Niko accidentally takes Arianne's sisters soul I feel is was a bit rushed afterwards, with what happened.I would have liked it to slow down a small bit.
The ending was Killer though.I loved and hated the ending since I have to wait until book 2 comes..I do hope it is soon.It really brings the "How far would you go for the one you loved' right up front. All in All I really enjoyed Reaping Me Softly.I would and will suggest it as a book to read!

The Sea of Tranquility By Katja Millay
I live in a world without magic or miracles. A
place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or
superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music
disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so hard against the earth by
the weight of reality that some days I wonder how I am still able to
lift my feet to walk.
Full of rage and without a purpose, former pianist Nastya Kashnikov wants two things: to get through high school without anyone learning about her past and to make the boy who took everything from her pay.
All 17 year-old Josh Bennett wants is to build furniture and be left alone and everyone allows it, because it’s easier to pretend he doesn’t exist. When your name is synonymous with death, everyone tends to give you your space.
Everyone except Nastya, a hot mess of a girl who starts showing up and won’t go away until she’s insinuated herself into every aspect of his life. The more he gets to know her, the more of a mystery she becomes. As their relationship intensifies and the unanswered questions begin to pile up, he starts to wonder if he may ever learn the secrets she’s been hiding or if he even wants to.
The Sea of Tranquility is a slow-building, character-driven romance about a lonely boy, an emotionally fragile girl, and the miracle of second chances.
Content Warning: This book contains mature themes and subject matter including profanity, drug/alcohol use, and sexual situations/language.

REVIEW
Where do I start?I just finished The Sea of Tranquility and Im so unsure of where to begin.First of all..I cannot believe Im just not finding out about this the book or Katja Millay for that matter.I want to say I was enthralled from the moment I started this book..but I was more then Enthralled..is there a word for that?I literally had a hard time unclenching my hands from around my kindle.
What an emotional story this is.I normally try and do a synopsis of the story but Im not going to this time.It is way to emotional.Like an emotional roller coaster. The story flowed so well and the changing of characters voices chapter to chapter was amazingly smooth.I thought the ending was wonderful and very well done.Would I like to see a second book out about Josh and Nastya/Em I would love to...in fact can I request it now please??!?!?! A standing ovation is in order for The Sea of Tranquility. Please take the time to read it.You will not be sorry.

Emerge-Lila Felix
Jenna has spent too long being complacent and accepting. Her mother and step-father constantly belittle and berate her for simply being alive. She passes through life keeping everyone and everything at arm’s length because it’s just not worth the questions or the pity party. She takes what they dish out and just tries to survive.
She has thought up a million different ways to get away from them, but lacked the motivation and the sheer will. Like a fast moving tornado, her motivation comes in the form of a boy who cares for her as none other has and who shows her a glimpse of hope, a glimpse into a life she never thought she could have.
But is her new motivation enough to get her out…

REVIEW
Oh My Goodness.I Did NOT want to put this book down.Holy Jehoshaphat.I know im not being as eloquent as I could be.Lila has created a story that is heartbreaking yet has that rainbow with the pot of gold you are waiting for.Emerge is a story about Jenna who has to deal with a horrible home life...Dont even get me started on her mom..and I use that term loosely or her step dad. Then She meets Carlos..Enter her Rainbow.Without giving to much of the book away..lets just Say Carlos is a wonderful guy and he is her sunshine on a rainy day. I loved that there was an epilogue..In fact that was one of my favorite parts.I think my only issue with this book is that it had to eventually end.Well done Lila..I look forward to reading your next book...so get to writing!I mean that in the nicest possible way.

My Favorite Mistake By Chelsea M. Cameron
Taylor Caldwell can't decide if she wants to kiss her new college roommate or punch him.
On the one hand, Hunter Zaccadelli is a handsome, blue-eyed bundle of charm. On the other, he's a tattooed, guitar-playing bundle of bad boy. Maybe that's why Taylor's afraid of falling in love with him, or anyone else. She doesn't want to get burned, and even though her other roommates adore him, she wants him gone before it's too late.
Hunter himself has been been burned before, but the fact that Taylor calls him out on his crap and has the sexiest laugh ever make him decide maybe love isn't a lost cause. They make a bet: if she can convince him she truly loves or hates him, he'll leave the apartment--and leave her alone. The problem is, the more time they spend together, the less she hates him, and the more she moves toward love.
But when the man who holds the key to Taylor's fear of giving up her heart resurfaces and threatens to wreck everything, she has to decide: trust Hunter with her greatest secret, or do everything in her power to win that bet and drive him away forever.
My Favorite Mistake is a New Adult Contemporary Romance complete at approx. 103,000 words and is suitable for ages 18 and up. Contains violence, language and sexual situations.
Other books by Chelsea M. Cameron:
Nocturnal (Book One in The Noctalis Chronicles)
Nightmare (Book Two in The Noctalis Chronicles)
Whisper (Book One in The Whisper Trilogy)
Coming Christmas 2012: Silence, Book Two in The Whisper Trilogy.

Review
This is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading by Chelsea M. Cameron and I adored it.I was able to get lost while reading this book and everything else faded away. That in my humble opinion is the sign of a good..no a great book.
Taylor is going to college and she is in a coed dorm...never expecting to actually have a guy,Hunter have to room with her the her other 2 roommates.Taylor and Hunter's chemistry is off the charts. They have the whole love/hate thing down pat.Taylor and Hunter are both dealing with their own issues which makes them both a bit weary of relationships.I dislike giving spoilers so I'll keep my mouth shut on how the story unfolds..but let me just say...Taylor can pack a punch!
I think my only critique is that the book ended a bit soon for my tastes.I would have loved an Epilogue or even perhaps a book 2. Its a must read! I would say it is definitely a Mature book due to language and sexual happenings.
