 Book Descriptions:

Gossip girl meets Hollywood in this new series by That Boy author, Jillian Dodd. Keatyn has everything she ever dreamed of. Her life is following the script she wrote for the perfect high school experience. She’s popular, goes to the best parties, dates the hottest guy, and sits at the most coveted lunch table. She’s just not sure she wants it anymore. Because really, things aren’t all that perfect. Her best friend is threatening to tell everyone her perfect relationship is a scam. Her perfect boyfriend gets drunk at every party they go to. It’s exhausting always trying to look and act perfect. And deep down, she isn’t sure if she has any true friends. To add to the drama, her movie star mom’s long-time fan has turned stalker. An older man is flirting with her and telling her they should make a movie together. And she’s crushing on an adorable surfer. Dating a guy like him would mean committing social suicide. So she writes a new script. One where all the pieces of her life will come together in perfect harmony. But little does she know, there’s someone who will do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen.

                                                                                                                                                            KISS ME -
I've always written scripts for my perfect life. But no way could I have ever scripted this. My life is so far from perfect, it’s not even funny.
All because of a stalker. I’m at a boarding school where I have to lie about who I am. I can’t see my family. I’m tutoring a Hottie God that tortures me with his smile. The most popular girl already hates me. But there’s this boy. This hot, sweet, sexy boy. So I’m going to stop trying to script my life and just live it. Because who knows how long I have left.

That Boy is a contemporary romance about falling in love with the boys next door. You know, being friends with two cute boys does have its benefits. There's Danny. Danny is a golden boy in every way. He has dreamy blue eyes and blonde hair that always looks perfect, even when it’s windblown or been stuck under a football helmet. He’s the boy every girl crushes on. The boy I get into trouble with, the boy I fight with, the hot quarterback no girl can resist, not even me. Being with Danny is like being on an adventure. He has a bright, contagious smile and abs to die for. He’s pretty much irresistible. Equally crush worthy is Phillip. Adorable, sweet Phillip, who I have known since birth. Phillip has dark hair, a perfect smile, brown eyes, and the sexiest voice I have ever heard. He’s the boy I talk to every night before I go to sleep. The boy who rescues me, the boy who can read my mind, the boy who is always there for me, the boy who tries to keep me out of trouble, the boy who irritatingly keeps getting hotter, and whose strong arms always seem to find their way around me. And when he gives me that grin, I can never say no. One boy will give me my very first kiss. One boy will teach me to make out. One boy will take me to prom. And finally, one boy will ask me to marry him. They will both be my best friends. But only one of them will be the boy I fall in love with. Only one of them is That Boy.

The gorgeous engagement ring on my finger mimics my happiness. I feel so sparkly, glittery, and full of promise, because I absolutely know he's that boy. The boy I want to marry. My prince. My happily ever after. But then our pastor starts asking lots of questions. His parents say I haven’t dealt with my past. I have horrible wedding disaster dreams. I can’t find the perfect dress. I have to manipulate him to get my way. An old boyfriend asks me to run away with him. My best friend says I'm going to ruin everything. And forever starts to sound like a really long time. Which totally freaks me out and makes me question everything I know. Should best friends get married? Will my past affect our relationship? Are my horrible dreams a warning? Will I ever find a dress? Could his sexiness be clouding my judgment? Am I going to ruin everything? Or is it just a case of cold feet? And then I have to decide. Am I willing to give up on true love forever, or am I going to listen to my heart and marry him?

Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin

I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

So this is going to be totally unprofessional..but OH MY GOSH.I am so in L-O-V-E with Forever My Girl by Heidi Mclaughlin.Like shout to the rooftops in love.Forever My girl is a story about love, mistakes and redemption. It is the story of Josie and Liam.Liam left Josie 10 years ago to become a huge music star.Only he felt he had to leave Josie in order to do this.A sad something occurs that brings Liam back to town and straight into Josie's life again.I prefer not to post spoilers in my reviews when I dont have to so Im stopping with that. The story Goes back and forth between Josie and Liam's point of view and I love that..Oftentimes we aren't clued into what the guy is thinking.I'm also glad that the bad person in the book got her comeuppance and that there wasn't as much drama as there could have been.Because quite frankly sometimes all the drama that happens in books is so unnecessary.
This is a must read book..Seriously a MUST READ.I LOVE getting excited about books when there are books to be excited about..and guess what? There will be a book 2(unnamed as of yet) in the series.Holy smokes.Heidi Mclaughlin wrote a winner and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

You Can purchase Forever My Girl HERE on Amazon.
For a bit extra from me...

This is how I Envision Liam

Top Ten Uses for an Unworn Prom Dress By Tina Ferraro

Sophomore year, Nicolette Antonovich was dumped two days before prom by the hottest guy at school. As a result, she became the proud owner of one unworn, perfectly magical pink vintage dress. But Nic is determined to put that night behind her for good. She's a junior now— older, wiser, and completely overwhelmed by a new set of problems: (1) The bank's ready to foreclose on her childhood home. (2) Her father's too busy with his "replacement" daughter to care. (3) Her best friend's brother is an eternal thorn in her side. (4) Her best friend isn't exactly the rose attached to that thorn. (5) Rumors are flying around school that could get her kicked off the volleyball team, which would (6) ruin all chances of a college scholarship. (7) She still likes the boy who dumped her in the first place. (8) And what in the world do you do with an unworn prom dress, anyway? Strangely, it's getting to the bottom of this last dilemma that just might hold the answer to all Nic's problems.

5 stars
I was given a Copy of Top Ten Uses for an Unworn Prom Dress for a Honest Review
Nicolette is dumped...2 days prior to prom.Who does that..Well Rascal Pasqual apparently. All Nicolette can think of is THAT dress. She even has a list of what can be done with it.While you might be thinking is this just about a silly girl not getting to wear her prom dress its so much more then that.Nicolette has quite a bit on her plate..Her moms job is struggling,Rumors are flying around,Her friend is acting weird and whats even weirder..two guys are coming to blows..over her.
I thought this was a super cute read.I couldnt go to bed until I had finished it.I loved that Nicolette wanted to help her mom so much and felt so bad when things failed to go right for her.But you have to give her credit for trying.I really really liked Jared..He was an uber cutie pie and perfect for Nicolette. This was an amazingly great read..Ultra Clean as well so no worries if the younger crowd reads it either. In fact I think it would be a great for a younger teen to read as well as the older teen and even adult.Check it out and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

*Cover Reveal*Unbeautifully By Madeline Sheehan

                    UNBEAUTIFULLY - Danny & Ripper’s Story.
The first time I fell in love it was with a pair of blue eyes and a wide dimpled grin.

“Your old man loves ya, Danny girl,” He whispered. “You never ever forget that, yeah?”

I never did. And I never thought I could ever love any man as much as I loved my father. But as we grow, we change, we begin to make our own decisions and thus become independent and self sufficient and start turning away from our parents and turning to others. We form friendships, strong bonds and ties and begin experiencing life outside of the bubble we grew up inside of.
And we fall in love…a second time.

The second time I fell in love it was with a badly scarred face, the stuff of nightmares; the sort of disfigurement that mothers steer their children away from. Ugly, jagged slashes marred the skin from the top of his skull, down over his right eye, an eye that had been dug out of his face with a serrated blade. The scars continued across his cheek, over his lips and down his neck, ending at the top of his shoulder. His chest was a hundred times worse; scar tissue as far as the eye could see.

“Baby,” He said gruffly, “Man like me got no business with a girl like you. You’re nothin’ but fuckin’ beauty and I’m a whole lot of fuckin’ ugly who’s already halfway to hell.”

But he was wrong.

Everything has beauty. Even the ugly. Especially the ugly.

Because without ugly there would be no beauty.

Because without beauty we would not survive our pain, our sorrow, and our suffering.

And in the world I lived in, the world he lived in, a secret world within the world, a world of of constant crime and cruel, cold, death, there was almost nothing but suffering.

“You may not be beautiful the way you were before,” I whispered, placing my hand on his hard chest. “But you’re still beautiful. To me.

If only he were as taken with the girl hemming his trousers as he is with his new leading lady.

When Harry Cartwright, a notorious flirt, shows more than a friendly interest in Franny, she figures it can't hurt to have a little fun. Ten Tiny Breaths By K.A Tucker

Kacey Cleary’s whole life imploded four years ago in a drunk-driving accident. Now she’s working hard to bury the pieces left behind—all but one. Her little sister, Livie. Kacey can swallow the constant disapproval from her born-again aunt Darla over her self-destructive lifestyle; she can stop herself from going kick-boxer crazy on Uncle Raymond when he loses the girls’ college funds at a blackjack table. She just needs to keep it together until Livie is no longer a minor, and then they can get the hell out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
But when Uncle Raymond slides into bed next to Livie one night, Kacey decides it’s time to run. Armed with two bus tickets and dreams of living near the coast, Kacey and Livie start their new lives in a Miami apartment complex, complete with a grumpy landlord, a pervert upstairs, and a neighbor with a stage name perfectly matched to her chosen “profession.” But Kacey’s not worried. She can handle all of them. What she can’t handle is Trent Emerson in apartment 1D.
Kacey doesn’t want to feel. She doesn’t. It’s safer that way. For everyone. But sexy Trent finds a way into her numb heart, reigniting her ability to love again. She starts to believe that maybe she can leave the past where it belongs and start over. Maybe she’s not beyond repair.
But Kacey isn’t the only one who’s broken. Seemingly perfect Trent has an unforgiveable past of his own; one that, when discovered, will shatter Kacey’s newly constructed life and send her back into suffocating darkness.
5 STARS-possible spoilers

Kacey Cleary had something horrible happen to her that should never happen to a young adult. In a split second her life and her sisters life is changed.Fast forward several years and Kacey and her sister Livie  are on the run from an uncle who tried to get into bed with Livie. They find themselves in Miami at an apartment complex with some interesting neighbors. On one side is Storm who works at a strip club and ends up becoming a really great friend and then there is Trent on the other side. The instant attraction is sizzling. The Chemistry is hot. They are pretty darn great together. Then one night..something changed.Kacey found out the horrible truth. The truth that broke her.

Throw Away Teen By Shannon Kennedy

She’s disposable...and she knows it.

A survivor of too many foster homes, B.J. Larson is content living at the youth center where your status is determined by how long your arrest record is. And hers is lengthy. Then she’s placed in a home in the small town of Stewart Falls, Washington—with foster parents who will “love” her, not just the money the state pays for her care.

Yeah, right!

B.J.’s not stone stupid. She knows a scam when she sees one. Kids like her never get “real homes,” much less “real families.” She learned a long time ago that adults can’t be trusted. Besides, B.J.’s too smart to take chances. And isn’t love the biggest risk of all?

This is the story of B.J Larson who is a ward of the state and who is possibly being adopted by Liz and Tom.B.J hasnt had affection, she has acted out to get out of bad foster homes. She has been beaten down.B.J doesnt know what it is to be loved and to love herself. In this story you will watch as B.J overcomes her fears, finds love and the best of all..learns to love herself.
First of Wow.What an emotional story. What an amazing Debut by Shannon Kennedy. If all of her future releases are this amazing..well she is going places. The best part of the story is I felt B.J's emotions..her turmoil. When an author is able to make you feel so strongly about something,I say thats a sign of an great author.Liz and Tom..they are what I would hope all soon to be adopt/foster parents would be.If that was the case the world would be such a better place. There was one person in the story I couldn't stand.. however I will let the reader figure that one out and not spoil it.
I highly highly recommend Throw Away Teen. Its emotional,it makes you sucks you in.You do not want to miss out on this.Shannon Kennedy,You have written an amazingly great book.I look forward to your next work and you have me as a fan.

* Love and Skate By Lila Felix Blog Tour *

                                                               LOVE AND SKATE
On the rink she’s tough, she’s a leader, she’s fast and she’s the epitome of a rebellious girl. But Nellie’s been hurt, only once, but it was enough to make her look at life through different eyes and off the rink she’s a timid girl who loves with no pretenses.
A long time ago Owen Black was betrayed by the girl he thought he loved and the guy he called his best friend. The anguish set off a domino effect of negativity in his life and he never has fully recovered. He meets Nellie Forrester and thinks he can let it go for her.
But how can you love someone when the wounds from your past are still wide open?

                                                         LOVE AND SKATE EXCERPT
Owen spoke up first. “Nellie these girls, have you seen them? Two of them were fighting each other during warm ups and they’re on the same team.  Please, please be careful.”
Amber and Dylan were having their own conversation and Owen began to whisper to me.
“What’s the protocol here?  Can I kiss you in front of your team or does that make you look like a wuss?  ‘Cause you look hot as hell in those little black shorts.”
“If you kissed me right now, I would almost guarantee that the whole room would be jealous of me.  Single, married and otherwise they would all get a taste of the green monster.”

                                                           Le' Booksquirrel's Review

Ive said it before and I'll say it again.Lila Felix has talent!Reading her books is so enjoyable..they flow so smoothly.I love Nellie..I love her many many hair colors and that she is tough enough to play Roller Derby and yet sweet enough to still be super feminine Owen..Well Owen like all of Lila's male characters is just AHMAZING.Im repeating myself with another review I've written about Lila's book but I'll go ahead and say it.I love that Lilas characters find each other somewhat early in the book.I adore watching their relationship develop.I have yet to read a book by Lila that I don't enjoy and I've read everything she's published.Keep on writing Lila. You have written yet another winner and I look forward to your next story.

If I were to pick a song for Nellie and Owen it would be this song :)

Willing to die for her, kill for her, Isaiah must first save her from the monster chasing them — the man that had created them to annihilate the world.

What would you risk for love?

Review 4 stars-Possible reader beware

When you first start this story your in Fallons nightmare/dream.Then Her and her mother have to leave the area and get into the car and go.This is the norm for Fallon always on the move so her mom can get a job and Fallon will be put into school. On the way though bad things happen and Fallon finds out that Isaiah is the only one that can help her.He protects her as best he can.Isaiah was made to protect  Fallon was made to protect Isaiah.
I enjoyed this book..I did feel at times it was a bit to fast and I wish it had slowed down just a tad.It was like go go go and I wanted it to slow down a small bit so I could better connect with the Fallon and Isaiah better.I also wish there was a tiny bit more romance since they are soulmates.I loved how Airicka wrote out the pain that Fallon felt at her mothers death..that was very emotional.I am eager to see what book 2 holds since there was quite a bit left unknown.I have to say this story does NOT disappoint in action and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

None Of The Regular Rules By Erin Downing

Sometimes, a few dares can change lives...

The weekend before the start of senior year, Sophie Erickson and her best friends, Ella and Grace, discover a handwritten list of dares tucked away in the glove compartment of Sophie's beat-up old Toyota. But this isn't just any list; it's a dead girl's bucket list.

Sophie's beloved aunt Suzy died as a teenager in a fatal fall, leaving Sophie with an overly cautious family, a few fading photographs, and a bucket of bolts that barely passes for a car. But now, Sophie has Suzy's list of the things she wanted to do in her last year of high school. Sophie can't help but wonder: What would happen if she tried to fulfill Suzy's last wishes, to live out the longed-for life of her aunt, her hero?

As Sophie and her friends attempt to knock off the things on Suzy's list of dares, love blossoms in unexpected places and Sophie begins to feel that her life is finally coming together...when in fact, everything is slowly unraveling around her. When the truth about a long-held family secret threatens to shatter everything she believed to be true, Sophie is forced to question everything she knew about the life and people she believed in, and ultimately herself.

None of the Regular Rules is a hilarious, heartbreaking, and sexy new novel from the author of Drive Me Crazy and Kiss It.

I was gifted a Copy of None of The Regular Rules by Erin Downing for a honest review. This story is about Sophie finding a list left by her Aunt Suzy who died after falling from a water tower.Sophie decides to complete the items on the list in honor of her Aunt. Her friends Grace and Ella help her and her Neighbor Johnny Rush comes in pretty handy with a certain ultra cool ride on lawn mower. This story is about finding out who You are,not losing yourself in the process, finding love and last but not least the power of friendship.
Wow.Wow.Wow.Yes 3 Wows.None of The Regular Rules is that good.I literally would have pulled an all nighter on this had it not been for my minions needing to be at school in the morning. As I've mentioned before..A good book in my eyes is one that entrenches you in it..makes the world go away..all of which happened for me.If I could have had one thing change in the book it would have been a teeny bit more romance..BUT let me say that the book has it and does it well..Im just a sucker for the ooey gooeyness of it.I loved the ending and honestly the last paragraph was wonderfully written.I also have to say that I love that Sophie just chopped her hair off..let her friends cut it and send it to Locks of Love. That was epic as its honestly the first time I have seen it in a young adult novel.Honestly If you haven't read None of The Regular Rules..what are you waiting for? This is a MUST read.Walk,Run to your computer and get it.You will not be disappointed.

The Halo Chronicles:The Guardian By Carey Corp

High school sophomore Alex Grabovski is cursed with a gift: the ability to see the goodness and evil in her fellow human beings in the form of halos—rings of light or darkness—that surround the body. Her goals in life are to keep moving, find her best friend, and to remain invisible. A new foster family and new school offer her a real chance at a normal life. But in order to stay, she must accept that her gift, The Gift of the Saints, has been bestowed for a purpose and confront the overwhelming darkness she fears.

Then he appears.

Gabriel is a Seraph, a guardian angel sent in the mortal body of a sixteen-year-old boy to protect Alex at the time in her life when she needs it most. Although he is as old as time, Gabriel’s teenage form reacts to Alex in an unexpected, unprecedented way. He falls hopelessly in love with her.

When their school erupts in violence, Gabriel and Alex realize why the guardian was sent. But can they rise above human emotions to fulfill their destinies, even if it means the outcome will rip their fragile world apart?

The Halo Chronicles: The Guardian is a 2010 RWA Golden Heart® finalist for best young adult fiction.

“Thrilling and oh-so-romantic, THE GUARDIAN will keep you up all night, turning the pages!” –Kristi Cook author of HAVEN

Alex has a special ability and that ability is to see whether people are good or bad..She is able to do that with the colors that come off them..a grey/black for bad and a white/gold/yellow for good. She has seen this her entire life.Alex has recently come to live with her new foster parents who do not know she has this ability. She gets into a tight spot one day and Gabriel saves her.Gabriel is a Seraph..a guardian angel..sent to do a duty and that duty is to protect Alex.Gabriel and Alex fall hopelessly in love and I absolutely loved reading about their was so sweet.Plus Gabriel is a amazing boyfriend.Unfortunately Gabriel still has his duty to the heavenly world.
I could not put the book down.It was amazing.Ive always loved reading about angels and humans in a love story and this one did not disappoint. The story flowed so well and the way Carey Corp was able to bring all the characters to life and make them so believable was excellent.I felt for secondary characters just as much as I did for the main characters. The ending about killed me..I was like oh my God..Then I was like Thank goodness there is a book 2..or Casey Corp would have had some splainin' to do! If your looking for an amazing read then this is one you will not want to miss!

And if they catch her, they won't just injure her.
They'll kill her.
Corrine Jackson is a San Francisco transplant, having lived on both coasts from Southern California to New York City. A recipient of a West Chester Poetry Conference scholarship, she is also the former Editor-in-Chief of two literary magazines, including Statement (CSU, Los Angeles) and Dash (CSU, Fullerton).

Touched is a story about Remy..Remy has the special ability to heal..But her healing comes with a price. After something horrific happens to her she goes to live with her father where She meets Asher..she learns that perhaps she isnt the only different person in town.
I Loved touched. It was such an enjoyable read..definitely a page turner!Remy was quite the character I instantly fell in love with her.Who doesn't love when someone cares more about others then themselves?Im so happy that she was able to live with her dad and his family and found out what it is like to be in a real loving family.Asher...Well Asher was just awesome.Im not going to lie..he reminded me a tiny bit of Edward Cullen in some of his actions and some things he said..but not enough to actually be like a copy Edward Cullen so that was good..Plus Asher just kind of has this Im sexy and I know it song running off of him.(Im joking..okay maybe im not.) I believe this is a first for me with healers and protectors and Im hooked.Im hoping there will be a second book to the series as I feel the story was left to continue on and im eager to see what happens when Remy goes looking for her Grandfather.I would definitely suggest this book if you like supernatural romance and a great story line that you just want to hop in too.

When Milo Mitchell falls for the beautiful, tuxedo-clad guy she found wandering her family's rural Colorado property, she never dreamed he was a scout from another galaxy, or that their relationship would leave him with an impossible choice: eradicating humankind, or initiating the end of his own people.

Nick's job is finding the elements his people need to power their elaborate interweb of minds. Being a scout means he is capable of traveling to other planets on his own. It also means that, unlike The Rest, he has access to primitive feelings and individual desires. For eons, he was part of the whole, but when he encountered Milo, his obsession with her changed everything.

Nick's partner, Vera, is capable of independent thought, but not compelled by it. She is satisfied with her existence as one of The Rest, and she won't agree that humans are worth sparing; not when their planet has a precious cache of the gold her people need so badly.

While Vera tries to force Nick into endorsing an Earth invasion, working behind the scenes to tie his hands, and the Department of Defense lays a trap for them with Milo's mom as bait, Nick and Milo are waging their own war - against a primal desire that can only lead to one thing: heartbreak.

When the mannequin gets stolen in a senior prank, Courtney finds herself in a midnight pursuit along beach boulevards, trying to save more than the mannequin, but the job she’s come to love. After turning to the unlikeliest of people for help, and finding that surfer boy is as resourceful as he is good-looking, her load begins to lighten. In fact, she soon might find not only what she needs, but what she wants, too.

This is a cute read.Courtney has a job at a tux rental place that she loves and a certain Mannequin who is the strong and silent type.Courtney has alot going, college, friends and her dad remarrying.I enjoyed the story.Although I feel at times it could have slowed down a bit and had a bit more romance.I loved the part when Courtney goes riding in the car with Tux and He is taken.Hilarious.All in all a cute read..If your looking for a good, lighthearted story then this is your story,Babycakes.Oh and the Cover is beautiful.

Miss Me Not-Tiffany King

They had a pact.
Leave the world behind much as they had lived it.
No one would miss them. No harm, no foul.
Their personal demons would be left behind once and for all.
It was the only thing they could count on.
It was all she had.

Madison Hanson has spent the last four years being a "shadow." Her parents ignore her. The students at her school stopped talking to her years ago, and the majority of her teachers forget she's even there. In her desperate yearning to leave her invisible life behind, Madison makes a pact with her only friend, James Garrison, to end their lives as inconspicuously as they live them. No fuss, no muss. No one would miss her and she would miss no one. Their plan is set, and it's all she can count on. That is, until fellow student, Mitch Peterson, beats them to the punch. Everything Madison believed in is shaken to the core when she watches the aftermath of Mitch's death unfold. By taking his own life, Mitch unwittingly saves hers. What a selfish prick.

She is now left with the daunting task of living. Trying to bury her demons once and for all, and finally trusting someone with her fragile existence.

Living is hell.
Death would have been so much easier.

Ever read a story that pulls at your heart?Miss Me Not by Tiffany King is one of those stories.Miss Me Not is the story of Madison and her death pact with her friend James...only someone beats them to the punch and everything that Madison believed she was going to do is suddenly changed.
Im not going to lie.Im a huge fan of Tiffany Kings so I've been anxiously awaiting this book. When I finally got Miss Me Not onto my Kindle I was doing a Happy Dance(please envision Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air).Miss Me Not is the story of Forgiving yourself,Loving yourself...Lets face it..its not always easy.Mistakes are made and those mistakes can mold you,However forgiving yourself is sometimes harder then anything.Madison's mother was a real piece of work.Tiffany King brought the characters to life so very well..I loved Madison's snarkieness,Deans unwillingness to take Madisons snarkiness and leave.Deans family was amazing.
Suicide is a hard topic to write about.Tiffany was able to write an excellent book dealing with it and surviving it when surviving is harder sometimes then living.Tiffany,I absolutely adored Miss Me Not and as always look forward to your next work. You make the hard to write subjects flow so effortlessly that it is simply a pleasure to read your books.Keep up the great work. Also Please If you are depressed or are having suicidal to someone or call 1-800-784-2433 .

On the rink she’s tough, she’s a leader, she’s fast and she’s the epitome of a rebellious girl. But Nellie’s been hurt, only once, but it was enough to make her look at life through different eyes and off the rink she’s a timid girl who loves with no pretenses.

Torn Souls-Crystal Cattabriga

This book is dedicated to all the children who have lost their lives from being bullied and the one who will find the strength and courage to continue on.....

The unspeakable acts of bulling can destroy a life. So many children are affected in the world and together we can make a difference. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world...

Julia Stone’s life has been turned upside down ever since her parents decided to move out of the country and into the city. The life she knew was gone and starting over was something she wasn't prepared for. The thought of a new school, new teachers and even new friends was terrifying, but after a few weeks things didn't seem all that bad. Julia had met a boy and his name was Alex. He wasn't a jock, he wasn't even the
smartest kid in school, but he was nice and he made her laugh. Alex and Julia hung out all the time, eventually becoming best friends. They even made a pact never to keep secrets from each other, but for Julia it was harder than she thought. She had a secret that was destroying the very cord of her soul. Her life as a teenager was being ripped apart by the kids in her school. Julia was being bullied mentally and physically. The thought of going through the next three years in high school being bullied continuously wasn't something she was prepared to do. The choice was simple, and she wasn't about to do it alone.

4 stars

Torn Souls is a book about bullying and a how Julia,Alex(her friend) and her parents take charge and make change.I Liked the summary of this book and I enjoyed the topic of it.Bullying is real and it does need to stop.I had a few issues with the book.I think it focused way to much in the beginning about Julia and her parents move.I believe the book could have worked without so many details of the move.I was almost 30% or more done with the book and the main character and her parents still had yet to move out of the house.I feel it dragged the book down to be honest.I could have done with 1 or 2 chapters at the most dealing with the move, the packing etc.Basically sometimes less is more.I feel like if all the extra things about the moving could have been taken out then the author could have focused more on the bullying which I feel was quite rushed. For a book on bullying you need to have the bullying stand out and I think I personally would have liked to see it stand out a bit more.I didnt feel the angst, the emotions of a girl being bullied. The summary built the book up so much plus the title built the book up so much that I kept waiting for something extraordinay to happen.I also would have liked to see more of a relationship start between Julia and Alex as well. I am a huge Anti Bullying advocate,I loved reading about Julia's stand against her bullying.I loved what happened with Julia's Bill as well.

Perchance By Lila Felix

Remi Harris has a plan. Graduate high school, go to college, become a history teacher, be self-sufficient unlike her mother who is a struggling single mom. And the word ‘boy’ has no place in her plan.
Cooper Neal has been sent to his estranged father’s house to spend his Senior year getting to know him. And maybe, just maybe, there will be some cute girls in the small town.
Cooper sees Remi and he falls hard. Remi sees Cooper and wonders if she can do both. The question is; will he ruin her plans, or be a part of them?

Perchance is once of those feel good books..that once you put down you want to pick it right back up and start over at the beginning.Perchance is about Remi who all she wants to do is graduate and go to college and be nothing like her mother.Cooper,Is meeting his father for the first time in 17 years. For both of them are in for unexpected surprises.
My favorite thing about this book is that the good romantic stuff starts right away. You don't have to wait  until the very ending for something to happen.I loved Cooper,In all honesty you rarely find a 17 year old like that and that made him stand a good way.Remi I just wanted to give her a big hug..Unfortunately that's impossible..okay I did hug her in my head.I adored Coopers Grandmother she was wonderful..her role in the book was small and yet huge at the same time.
Lila Felix has written a book that will wrap you up and have you rooting for the main characters.I'd be here typing the same things over and over if I tried to explain just how much I loved this book.Haven't read it?Read it.Enjoy it!Love it!

Beautifully Broken By Amanda Bennett

“Darkness swept through my vision as my short lived life passed before my eyes. His face was the last thing I saw before I succumbed to my destiny. It’s funny how life can change its direction in the blink of an eye. What had once brought me strength has now made me weak and it was no one’s fault but my own. I did this and unfortunately he would now be the one to suffer for it. I could feel my heart breaking into a million pieces all over again and the feeling made me want to die.”

At eighteen years old Bennett had finally realized what her feelings for Gray meant. Through all the loss and love that they had been through with each other nothing was going to tear them apart, except maybe time. She was willing to fight for her new found love of this boy she had always known. But forces beyond their control were willing to do whatever it took to do just that.

With Gray heading off to the police academy and her headed to college things were bound to change. Time apart, temptation, lies and loss would test the strength of the relationship they thought would outlast anything.

Five years later Bennett and Gray will be faced with a reality neither one of them ever thought possible. It’s up to Gray to save Bennett from a force so strong it will test his strength, love and undying devotion he swore to her all those years ago.
They both learn that life isn’t always fair and the things you desire most in life can come at a costly price.

Well this story is definitely a page turner. It sucks you in like a tornado. This is the story of Bennett and Gray's love, mistakes and finding love all over again.I loved Bennett and Gray. Its amazing I think how so much could have been solved with a bit on communication on both their parts.I really do not like to give spoilers out.But I will say this the ending had me in tears.I think my only issue with the book is sometimes certain parts of the books jumped from one thing to another quickly so I had to re-read to make sure I got it correctly. Also the epilogue I feel was a bit confusing as I would have liked to know the time frame of how long Bennett was in the hospital as the one thing (Which I LOVED)wouldn't make sense with how far along it was.But other then that I loved them book. Im very glad to hear that there will be another book in this series,Im eager to see what happens next to Gray and Bennett..if indeed the book will be about them.Job Well Done Amanda Bennett!

Something More By Mia Castile

All she wanted was a fresh start. Moving to Chicago for college, escaping her small town, Nyla finally felt she had it all. Then Jameson is suddenly everywhere, invading her life, school schedule, and dating her supervisor at the posh art gallery where she works. How can she survive her fresh start, when her high school bully is everywhere.
The only thing that scared him about going to college was the crushing fear that he wouldn’t see Nyla anymore. So after graduation, Jameson applied to Roosevelt College, her school, to try to make sense of why he felt that way. Hoping it would only take a semester to understand his strange attraction and why he tormented her during high school, instead he realized that there was something more about Nyla, and something more to the way he felt. Now he must prove to her that she feels the same way about him.

I was honored to be given an ARC of Mia Castile's Something More.I enjoyed it so much My words wont do it justice. To summarize the story Nyla goes off to college in Chicago in hopes of a new start. Her nemesis Jameson ends up following her and somehow working his way into her daily life.Something More is a story about falling in love, righting wrongs and learning to forgive.
When I first started this book I was already enthralled...who doesn't want to see a person's high school tormenter turn a potential new leaf and make amends? You could feel the attraction between Nyla and Jameson throughout the book.I really honest to goodness felt bad for Ethan(who you will meet in this book)..Poor guy didn't stand a chance...but after awhile I honestly started not liking how he acted. There was a scene in this book...okay several scenes that I did a bit of a cheer after I read them.I won's say which as I dislike spoiling the book for others.Overall,I adored Something More,The fact that it ended made me sad.It could have been made into a longer book in my opinion but works so very well as a Novella. The icing on the cake was the Ending.Thats all Im saying.Lips are SEALED.
Mia,You have yet again blown me away.I thank you for the opportunity to read Something More as an ARC.You have such a talent of making words come alive.I as always look forward to your next work.
