*Blog Tour*The Forgotten Ones By Laura Howard

Allison O'Malley's plan is to go to grad school so she can get a good job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She has carefully closed herself off from everything else, including a relationship with Ethan, who she's been in love with for as long as she can remember.

What is definitely not part of the plan is the return of her long-lost father, who claims he can bring Allison's mother back from the dark place her mind has gone. Allison doesn't trust her father, so why would she believe his stories about a long forgotten Irish people, the Tuatha de Danaan? But truths have a way of revealing themselves. Secrets will eventually surface. And Allison must learn to set aside her plan and work with her father if there is even a small chance it could restore her mother's sanity.

I was given an ARC for an Honest Review.

Laura Howard Totally rocks.I have literally been waiting to read The Forgotten Ones for what feels like forever. This is the story of Allison dealing with her mothers Schizophrenia. She feels guilty that her family have had to help so she is trying to make it so she can do it on her own.She pushes people away because of it.Ethan is a guy who is trying very very hard to break through her walls.Liam comes to town and with him comes many surprises which are unexpected for Allison. She takes it better then I would. That is all I am saying.I do not like giving spoilers so that is that.Lips sealed.
This is definitely a must read in my book.Isn't the cover beautiful? Its so much more then what you think its going to be.It has the first tinges of a romance happening. It has Irish Folk Lore,it has exceptional secondary characters. The best part of The Forgotten Ones is that it draws you in and leaves you wanting more.I am eagerly awaiting Book number 2 and Will probrably start to Pickett Laura Howard's Facebook page to get it out there.Trust me on this.Read it.You will be so happy you did!It has definitely been worth the wait.Laura you did an amazing job and I will be looking forward to reading more by you.Thats a fact jack.

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.

Dust is a story of a Pixie called Rosalie who is captured and forced into slave labor. She tries to flee and is put into a lockdown area so to speak where she meets Jack.Jack is a Fairy and Rosalie is a pixie. They dont mix. This was a first fairy book for me and what an adventure it was.The emotions were all there.Everytime Rosalie's wings were broken I flinched.Devon Ashley knows how to write emotionally.I think my issue was the quickness of the read and how the book ended at what felt like its Climax. It just kind of was a real bummer to get to this certain part in the book and then it end, slightly disappointing.Im giving this book 5 stars because of the way the well the writing was and how in-tuned to the characters I was.I will admit I am disappointed that Book 2 is not out and that I cannot even find a summary of it.I hope it is not to much longer. All in All a GREAT fairy read.

*Review 5 stars* Revel By Maurissa Guibord

There's an island off the coast of Maine that's not on any modern map. Shrouded in mist and protected by a deadly reef, Trespass Island is home to a community of people who guard the island and its secrets from outsiders. Seventeen-year-old Delia grew up in Kansas, but has come here in search of her family and answers to her questions: Why didn't her mother ever talk about Trespass Island? Why did she fear the open water? But Delia's not welcome and soon finds herself enmeshed in a frightening and supernatural world where ancient Greek symbols adorn the buildings and secret ceremonies take place on the beach at night. Sean Gunn, a handsome young lobsterman, befriends Delia and seems willing to risk his life to protect her. But it's Jax, the coldly elusive young man she meets at the water's edge, who finally makes Delia understand the real dangers of life on the island. Delia is going to have to fight to survive. Because there are monsters here. And no one ever leaves Trespass alive.

Wow.Im Stunned and in utter Awe of Revel By Maurissa Guibord. This is the first book I have read by this Author and I am quite frankly Blown Away.Revel takes place on Trespass Island where people live but never leave.Delia's mother is from there and finds a way to get to the island since no one is allowed to go there.Once she gets there she is greated with hostility. She has no idea what is in store for her.Sean is one of the male characters you will meet and Jax,Jax is a Demigod. They go back for centuries and rule the undersea.Jax is full of awesome.Delia realizes something isn't quite right about her and you will figure that out once you read the book.
This book is seriously stunning.I was swept away in the romance, the history, the drama,Like a huge tidal wave. The way Maurissa writes is astoundingly real and makes you feel like you are right in the center of the ocean.I think my only issue with the story is that the ending was a bit fast for me and I would have liked an epilogue. But it certainly did not need one I just enjoy knowing what happens after the ending. This is a must read!Great Job Maurissa Guibord! It was a pleasure reading this and I cannot wait to read more of your work!
