I Received a ARC for an honest review
Don't Make Me Beautiful is a nitty gritty read.Its not pretty.It is the story of Nicole,who is abused by her Boyfriend.Name will not be mentioned as he is evil.Brian goes to her house to fix a window after his son breaks her window and finds her beaten laying ont he floor.I admit I had a hard time reading about What happened to Nicole.I was drawn into this story though and It kept giving me more.I cannot even begin to imagine how Nicole survived all that she did.
I Liked this story.I think it was almost too sad for me to love.If that makes sense.The writing was great.I did however not like the narrative mode.I prefer first person.Thats the one thing that held it back for me from being a 5 star book.I had trouble connecting to it.BUT it could be personal preferences.If your looking for a great romantic suspense read Then Don't Make Me Beautiful is the one for you!It will touch you.You are going to want a box full of tissues as well.
