*REVIEW* Sun Poisoned(The Sunshine Series #2)

Sun Poisoned(The Sunshine Series #2)
By Nikki Rae
Sophie’s life has changed. She’s moved to New York, she’s playing music for new people, and she’s making new friends. Then there’s Myles, and the fact that he is now her boyfriend—and everyone knows it. There are a lot of new things to take in, but Sophie has no problem adjusting.

She’s not exactly normal, living in a half-human, half-vampire world, but she’s finally, truly happy. But some parts of Sophie and Myles’ old life still hide in the dark, waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

Sophie’s having nightmares again, but they aren’t about her; Myles is hiding something that she’s not sure she wants to know.

And one lie will change everything.

No matter how hard she tries to cover up the marks her monsters have left behind, they never truly go away, and Myles’ monsters are no different.

Once again, Sophie’s caught between life and death, but this time, only she can save herself.

For you to understand Sun Poisoned you are going to definitely need to read Sunshine,Book one in the series.I found Sun Poisoned to be of a faster pace then its Predecessor Sunshine. This story is an emotional roller coaster. From the beginning your brought to New York City with Sophie's Band playing at Myles friend Evan's Club.Be prepared for some big changes in characters.Im still not sure how I feel about Evan.

I think my main issue with the book was its fast pace and some of the lack of background on what was happening with Sophie towards the end.I wanted it to slow down a small bit so I could process everything going on.We went from one major even in the book to another major event to another very quickly.I needed time to be able to process what was going on.BUT other then that I really loved it.I like how the book plays out.I am on my seats edge waiting for Sun Damaged.Im hoping things that I thought might be broken aren't quiet as broken as they appeared.Im also hoping Myles and Sophie and a huge heart to heart.I have to say Im really enjoying Nikki's writing style and her way with words.I am definitely on a countdown to when Sun Damaged will be released!

*REVIEW*Sunshine(The Sunshine Series) By Nikki Rae

Sunshine(Sunshine Series Book 1)
By Nikki Rae

18 year old Sophie Jean is pretty good at acting normal. Sure, she’s not exactly happy, but happiness is nothing compared to being like everyone else. She can pretend she’s not allergic to the sun. She can hide what her ex-boyfriend did to her. She can cover up the scars she’s made for herself. Ignore anything. Forget anything. Then Myles enters her life, and he has more than a few secrets of his own. When accident after accident keeps happening to Sophie, she can’t help noticing that he’s everywhere. That he knows too much. That she’s remembering too much.

It’s one thing covering up her own dark past, but does she really need to worry about people finding out just how much Myles likes her? Or that despite how much she doesn’t want to repeat past mistakes, she kind of likes him back? Not to mention the fact that she now has to conceal that Myles drinks blood-that he says he’s about four hundred years old.

She almost forgot about that part.

But Sophie has no plans to ruin the normal life she has created for herself. She can deal with this little glitch, no problem. Even if word has gotten around to the wrong vampire about Sophie and Myles, even if she’s putting the few people she loves at risk. Suddenly, those who were monsters before are just people, and the monsters? They’re real. Now being a normal human being is the least of her problems. Now she has to stay alive.

I was given a Copy of Sunshine for an honest review.

Sunshine tells the story of Sophie who honestly does not have the best life. Her mom is this evil mother who has no love for her.Her Ex-Boyfriend hurt her quite badly. She has a huge issue. She cannot go out into the sunlight. She is allergic to it.Myles is the new guy in school who just happens to be there for Sophie ever single time she needs help.Every time.
I was entrenched in Sunshine.Did not want to put it down.I was intrigued by Sophie. Her affliction. It made me wonder just what made her different and why she had that.My heart broke for her knowing everything that she had to deal with at such a young age.Myles is a character who I wish I had been able to get to know him better.Know his feelings. He was hard to read sometimes.
I feel the writing was good.I think there were times when the story felt a bit slow but then other times when it was perfectly paced. There was an incident in the story that had me confused but once I was able to sort it out everything was fine.It just could have been clearer. The Secondary Characters were great!I loved getting to know them.Especially Jade and Stevie.
The main goal of a book is for it grab my attention, keep me there and pull me into its world.Sunshine Succeeded in doing just that.I was glued to my kindle until it died.I admit I almost cried when it died.Yes i know that rhymed. Nikki Rae's Debut Novel Sunshine Rocks and is a great start to Her Sunshine series!Great Job Nikki!
