Perfect Clouds Virtual Book Tour has stopped here!!!

Introducing Rajdeep Paulus and her debut Swimming Through Clouds
Rajdeep decided to be a writer during her junior year in high school after her English teacher gave her an “F,” but told her she had potential. She studied English Literature at Northwestern University, and she writes masala-marinated, Young Adult Fiction, blogging weekly at InSearchofWaterfalls dot com.
Swimming Through Clouds synopsis:
I live in the in between. Between what if and what is. It’s how I manage. It’s the only way I know. Everyone has their way. This is mine.
When a high school cell phone disruption forces a classroom ban, the words on a Post-it note spark a sticky romance between two unlikely friends. Transfer student Talia Vanderbilt has one goal at her new school: to blend in with the walls. Lagan Desai, basketball captain and mathlete, would do just about anything to befriend the new girl. One Post-it note at a time, Lagan persuades Talia to peel back her heart, revealing her treasure chest of pain—an absent mother, a bedridden brother, and an abusive father. In a world where hurt is inevitable, the two teens search for a safe place to weather the storms of life. Together.
—————————————————-
Rajdeep’s book is powerful. It’s one of those that leaves you heartbroken and wondering if it’s possible that people live in such extreme abuse situations. In graduate school, I volunteered for a program that helped women and children leave their abusers and I know, from that experience, that there are unspeakable things happening in some homes in this nation. And the answers are never clear–escape is not a given

Introducing Laura Anderson Kurk and Perfect Glass
Laura Anderson Kurk writes unconventional and bittersweet contemporary YA. Her debut novel, Glass Girl, and its sequel, Perfect Glass, are available now from Playlist Young Adult Fiction. Laura lives in Texas with her husband and two children.

Perfect Glass synopsis:
Things get messy when Meg Kavanagh gets involved—first with Jo Russell, the eccentric old artist, and then with Quinn O’Neill, the intriguing loner who can’t hide how he feels about Meg. Her senior year isn’t turning out like she planned it, but sometimes the best parts of life happen in the in-between moments. And Henry will be home soon, right?

He commits to one year in an orphanage that needs him more than he ever dreamed. Thousands of miles from Meg and the new punk who has fallen for her, and absent from the ranch that’s in his blood, Henry Whitmire finds out what it means to trust. When you’re so far from home, it’s terrifying to realize you’re not who you thought. But the perfect glass of calamity makes the best mirror.

Oh Sniff Sniff.Laura Anderson Kurk has done it again. She has written an amazing sequel to Glass Girl.In Perfect Glass we are able to continue the story of Meg and Henry,But what happens when Henry is halfway across the country and things don't feel so perfect?Im not one to give spoilers so this review will not hold any.Sorry everyone!Laura shows us that its okay to trust someone and shows us how Henry and Meg conquer it.I absolutely loved this story.Im in love with Meg and Henry. The ending was squeal worthy and could totally use a novella to finish it up and make me a super duper happy camper.Reading Laura's stories make me so happy. They make me believe in true love. They are a great, clean romance and well the books speak for themselves.I highly suggest reading Glass Girl and then following up with Perfect Glass.Laura,You must keep writing.I am cheering you on!You have talent and it must be used!I look forward to your next work with bated breath!

*ARC REVIEW* Perfect Glass By Laura Anderson Kurk

I couldn’t stop crying because it was so intimate, in that way I always thought being physical with him would feel. If someone had walked in they might have thought Henry was barely touching me. I knew the truth of it.

An identity crisis, long distance love, new temptation, and growing pains teach Henry and Meg how to hang onto each other and to what really matters.

From YA author Laura Anderson Kurk comes the sequel to Glass Girl, a lyrical, multi-generational story about love that clouds the eyes, loss that haunts empty rooms, and reunions that feel like redemption.

*Review* Glass Girl By Laura Anderson Kurk

Glass Girl
By Laura Anderson Kurk
Published April 1st 2013

The ice cold fear I’d felt, not knowing if Wyatt was alive, pressed into the wall with other girls and surrounded by guys who were unspeakably brave, hit my body again in a wave. This was trauma—the gift that keeps on giving.

When Meg Kavanagh finds herself in the unthinkable role of grieving sister, she discovers some harsh truths—parents aren’t perfect, life’s not always sweet, and the dead don’t write back. Worried she might have caused Wyatt’s death, Meg folds her heart into a box. Her famous mom grieves by slowly disappearing, and her dad copes by moving them to a small town in Wyoming.

What she finds in Wyoming blindsides her.

His name is Henry, and he’s a rancher’s son who pulls Meg into his larger-than-life world and shows her that being sensitive is not an excuse to sit this one out. Meg wants to be brave like Henry because the best things in life—like falling in love and finding mercy—require uncommon courage. And Henry has a secret that changes everything.

From YA author Laura Anderson Kurk comes an unconventional and bittersweet story of first love and family ties. Fans of Deb Caletti and Sara Zarr will appreciate Kurk’s authentically imperfect characters and emotional storytelling.

With characters who feel real enough to walk the halls of your high school, Glass Girl sheds light on tenderness, the rush of first love, and the miracle of mercy.

Its rare to find a book that touches your soul but when you do..grab hold of the book and track down the author. Glass Girl is one of those books. From the first page until the last you are sucked into Meg and Henry's world. It touches on first love, death, grieving, grace and overcoming pain.Glass Girl takes you on the Journey of Meg and her family as they move to Wyoming.Meg is a junior and at school meet Henry who works on his fathers Ranch/Farm.I see alot of Sarah Dressen in Laura Anderson Kurk and that is a big Kudos to her.I honestly have nothing to critique about Glass Girl. Its simply a great read.I love the message and that there is a christian message in it.I have to hope many will take the time to read Glass Girl as its one of those books that after you read it you might smack yourself and go why did I wait so long to read it?Perfect Glass the Sequel to Glass Girl will be out June 2013.It will be in Henry's Point of View. Please Laura Anderson Kurk give yourself a pat on the back...do a happy dance..or even a squirrel dance. You Rock!!!
